What will we be running?

We will be running show jumping classes with heights ranging from 20cm to 70cm.

We will also be running the popular Chase Me Charlie / Puissance!

Alongside the jumping we will also be running freestyle to dressage with music! Within the freestyle dressage, competitors will each perform a freestyle show to music of their choice no longer than two minutes in duration. There will be 50 marks on offer for coordination, balance and energy, and another 50 marks for the overall performance of the show.

Alongside this, we will have a shop which will display a selection of Wilcox Edgemere hobby horses for sale. We are super excited to have this chance to sell these hobby horses - they are meticulously crafted and are a cherished keepsake, designed to withstand the test of time.

Who is welcome?

Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned jumper, absolutely everyone is welcome! If you do not own a hobby horse, we will have a selection of hobby horses to borrow for the classes.

Competitors must wear suitable footwear at all times.

What will we be running?

We will be running two rings - Hobby Horse competition ring & ‘Have a Go’ ring.

We will have Hobby Horse dressage to music display as well.

The ‘Have a Go’ Ring is a chance for children to have a go at hobby horse show jumping. There will be hobby horses available to borrow and a rosette for all competitors.

Within the hobby horse competition ring, we will be running show jumping classes with heights ranging from 20cm to 60cm. Each class will be divided into two sections and prizes/rosettes given to each section - Age 3 to 9 years & Age 10 years and over. The child’s age is taken as of the 1st January.

All our Hobby Horse competitions are qualifiers for our HOBBY HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2026 which will take place in November 2026.
